Varrow has been selected as number one on the Triad’s 50 top-performing, privately held companies in The Business Journal’s 12th-annual Fast 50 awards program. The honor was announced Wednesday at a gala event hosted by High Point University and is featured in the special Fast 50 section included with this week’s (Sept. 17-26) edition of The Business Journal. “This award is dedicated to our dedicated and passionate employees and the hundreds of Varrow customers that we are fortunate enough to be of service to,” said Dan Weiss, CEO and Co-Founder.

The awards are sponsored by accounting firm Smith Leonard and Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Co. Through a confidential process, nominations are submitted to Smith Leonard, which verifies each company’s revenues and then ranks the nominees based on a formula that factors in both dollar and percentage change for their three most recent fiscal years.

To be eligible, each company must:

• Be a private, for-profit venture;
• Have its U.S. headquarters in the Triad; and,
• Have finished three full fiscal years and had sales of at least $2 million in its last fiscal year.
